Pastoral Care
Holy Trinity Cares
HT Cares Committee is a lay-led, clergy advised ministry supporting our parish family with spiritual, emotional and practical support during life’s challenges and triumphs, including, illness, childbirth, isolation, bereavement and the celebration of new beginnings. The Committee meets monthly by Zoom on the first Tuesday of each month from 4:30-5:30 pm.
Opportunities to Serve
- Praying for those on the weekly Parish Prayer List in your personal prayers.
- Relaying your additions to the Parish Prayer List to the church administrator.
- Card Ministry: sending personalized cards of comfort, condolence and encouragement.
- Transportation: providing rides for those who cannot drive themselves to church or appointments.
- Meal Ministry: preparing a meal or two to support and comfort members. Meal Trains are set up on a case-by-case basis
- Joy and Comfort Bags: helping provide, pack, and deliver snacks, homemade cookies and small gift items four times a year to those whom the HT Cares Committee think would especially benefit from the reminder that they are loved.
- Prayer Shawl Ministry: knitters and crocheters prayerfully create shawls which are blessed and presented to parishioners as tangible signs of loving prayers.
- Grief Ministry: keeping in touch monthly with members who have lost a spouse for the year following bereavement. Providing a Bereavement Box to the member to assist with record keeping during the time of bereavement.
Pasqualies
Named for the patron saint of cooks, the group hosts receptions in the Parish Hall following funeral or memorial services. Families of the deceased are able to greet family and friends in a large and welcoming space with finger foods and punch provided by Pasqualies. Receptions are arranged through our priests at the request of the family.
Daughters of the King Flower Ministry
This spiritual sisterhood meets weekly by Zoom on Saturday morning from 9 am-10 am to study and pray for the needs of the parish and the world. Topics of study are chosen by the members and focus on living a life of prayer, service and evangelism. Following the Sunday services the altar flowers are divided and delivered to those who are suffering from illness, loss or the cheerfulness of flowers by DOK members.
