Organist
Dr. Trey Williams has served as Organist at Holy Trinity since August 2022. He previously served at various churches in North and South Carolina, including the Church of the Ascension in Seneca, St. Anne’s Church in Winston-Salem, and Pickens Presbyterian Church. In 2024, he became a Colleague of the American Guild of Organists (CAGO), by passing an examination in organ literature, hymnody, and improvisation. He earned his PhD. in Analytical Chemistry from Wake Forest University in 2019 and his B.S. in Chemistry with a Minor in Music from Clemson in 2015. He studied organ and carillon with Dr. Linda Dzuris at Clemson and organ with Dr. David Lowry (as a high school student) at Winthrop University. He was previously a Visiting Assistant Professor at Davidson College, and he is presently a Senior Lecturer in the Chemistry Department at Clemson University, where he teaches General Chemistry and Quantitative Analysis.
